Start a conversation
For referrals, visits, or a straight conversation about a young person who needs a placement, get in touch with our team.
Send a message
Every good placement starts with a good conversation. Tell us a little about the young person and we will come back to you.
Visits
Come and see the home. Visits, including overnight stays, are arranged as part of the planned admission process.
Complaints, advocacy and safeguarding
Children, parents, carers and local authority representatives all have access to our complaints procedure, and every young person is told how to use it when they arrive. Copies are kept at the home and can be requested at any time.
Making a complaint
A complaint does not have to be in writing. A young person can speak to any member of the care team or the manager, raise it at a young people's meeting, fill in a complaint form, or write in the comments book. All complaints are recorded, and the young person is asked whether they are happy with the outcome.
Independent advocacy
An advocate is an independent person who helps a young person express their views and stand up for their rights. We use North East Lincolnshire Council's Independent Advocacy Service, whose advocates come from NYAS and are fully trained and DBS checked. Young people can also contact the Children's Commissioner for England.
Safeguarding and Ofsted
Where a safeguarding concern is raised, staff record it and pass it to the manager or the designated safeguarding officer, and the placing authority's social worker is informed. Concerns can also be raised directly with the North East Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Partnership on 01472 326292, or with Ofsted on 0300 123 1231.
